Favicon not correctly adding to site

Greetings. I followed this article to the letter:

But still I am unable to get the favicon to appear. I tried both PNG and ICO formats. I looked at the HTML and it didn’t have the link rel tag.

Any gotchas I may be missing here?

Thanks for the response, Isabella – but a favicon should be something that displays immediately (at least that’s what it would do in HTML)…

I’m thinking I’ve done something wrong. How do I reach the chat support team?
